Zusammenfassung
Kieferorthopäden/innen werden im Alltag
regelmäßig mit den unmittelbaren und/oder
sekundären Folgen eines dentalen Traumas konfrontiert. Kenntnisse
über Verletzungsarten und deren klassische Folgen sind hilfreich zur
Einschätzung der Prognose betroffener Zähne und bei der
kieferorthopädischen Behandlungsplanung. Eine sorgfältige
Anamneseerhebung in Bezug auf Unfälle mit Zahnbeteiligung in Kombination
mit entsprechender klinischer und röntgenologischer Diagnostik minimiert
das Risiko von unvorhergesehenen pathologischen Ereignissen für
Patienten/innen und Behandler/innen.
Abstract
Orthodontists are regularly confronted with the immediate and/or
secondary consequences of dental trauma in their daily work. Knowledge of injury
types and their classic consequences is helpful in assessing the prognosis of
affected teeth and in orthodontic treatment planning. Careful anamnesis
regarding accidents with dental involvement in combination with appropriate
clinical and radiographic diagnostics minimizes the risk of unforeseen
pathological events for patients and practitioners.
